BIO
I've been in this business for more years than I care to mention, starting out as a 16 year old in the New England area. In those heady days of the 60's, bands were touring constantly and I received my baptism of fire through supporting some of Australia's top artists... they were great times. I've continued with many different bands over the following years – taking time out to surf, try the hippy lifestyle and even manage a radio station – but I've always been drawn back to the buzz of live performing. In 2002 I threw away the security of playing in a band and headed out as a solo acoustic act and havent looked back since. I love the freedom of playing 'organic' acoustic music and have enjoyed spots at Thredbo Blues Festival, Great Southern Blues Festival (5 years now), Tumba Fest and a couple of 'guest' spots at Broadbeach Blues in Qld. Played with some great musicians and made a lot of friends.
My act has evolved due to developing sequencing skills and utilising a home studio to produce backing tracks and venturing into the pub and club market from the Vic border to Wollongong, Canberra to the Southern Highlands and all points in between.
As a result of this and a diverse repertoire I'm able to cater for a wide variety of venues and work at something I love while actually earning a living. It's all good! |

Sequence backed electric show featuring classic 60s tunes to todays artists like Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Train and Jet plus all those favourites from Chisel, OZ Crawl, AC/DC, Doors etc

A mix of electric and acoustic tunes at lower volume than above from artists like Van Morrison, Paul Kelly, Pete Murray and if its suits the crowd evenheading back to Elvis, Buddy Holly and Neil Diamond

The Blues /Roots/ Acoustic Show |
Original songs, Blues Standards and a selection of 'roots' music played on acoustic guitar without backing tracks but still maintaining a full sound by utilising a Boss Loop Station and Digitech Harmoniser for a full sound. |
Of course all these packages can be thrown together in any combination to suit your venue.
High quality sound is assured with a top of the line P.A. that can be easily configured to suit show style and room size. Lights and a professionally presented stage are all part of the package. My usual delivery is a one hour 45 minute set....then closing with a 2 hour set (for a 4 hour booking) Again this can be changed to suit the venues preferences.
